More rational interface design
For the outer ring at the interface between the PCD and cemented carbide substrate, Instead of using the evenly corrugated teeth on the excircle. It ensures normal contraction of diamond powder during sintering under ultra-high pressure, minimizing the residual stress caused due to interface structure. At the center of the interface an undulant concentric annular groove is provided. The raised portion may also be further divided into sections with several small undulant grooves. The unevenness reinforces interfacial cohesion.
Surface modification applied
The thermal conductivity at surface is improved through the treatment of PCD surface. Also PDC's PCD layer no longer suffers thermochemical and thermal stress damages due to high local temperature, and the tools have a extraordinarily long life.
Improved abrasive resistance of cutters
The use of better raw materials and adoption of more advanced ultra-high pressure and temperature sintering process has notably improved PDC's abrasive resistance and the drill bit has an excellent performance in use.
